Sunny Nash's Profile

Sunny Nash is an award-winning author, former syndicated columnist, and former radio news director and program director. Nash's work has been collected in numerous anthologies, including the African American National Biography produced by Harvard University and published by Oxford University Press.
Nash is also an award-winning photographer and television producer, having won awards from Charter Communications and a nomination for the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism
Award. Nash has won two California Writing Fellowships for her book, Bigmama Didn't Shop At Woolworth's, and the book she is currently writing, which is under contract to Texas A&M University Press.
Nash has written and reproduced historic photographs for Ancestry.com and Ancestry Magazine for the past fifteen years. Her short story, "Amen" was included in African American West: A Century of Short Stories. In this anthology, she is among an impressive list of authors, including W.E.B. DuBois, Langston Hughes and Ralph Ellison.
